Have you tried something new today? Or something you always wanted to do but never found the means to do so.
You need to confront yourself what is that is really stopping, preventing or even immobilizing you to take action. Only when you can identify the problem in the right approach, you can solve the problem. It is best that you approach the problem objectively in a third person point of view, and to leave all negative suggestion behind.
In my previous post, I feel that I have drifted off too much to the topic of fear, thus I am writing the part 2 of this post – My First Time. Well, maybe you feel that it’s not well written too, but remember – It will get better. *wink*
“Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
– Lao Tzu
If you are more english oriented, it is similar to the saying of “Rome wasn’t build in a day”. Almost everything started small – as small as an idea. Without the small consistent steps towards the end goal, nothing can be achieved. How can you travel a thousand miles without walking a single step?
I learned and reapplied the theory of Knowledge, Means & Will from Mark Joyner’s ebook, The Rise Of The Author.
In knowledge, we must have technical know how, strategies, formulas , recipes, etc. In layman terms, we must know what to do and how to do.
In means, is where our resources are – basically our time, energy and money (including the equipments that we have, which most likely is brought into the picture by money)
In Will is our own willingness to carry out the action, this is where your psychology andĀ physiology plays a part. And also the reason that motivates you to take action. You can have all the knowledge and resources in the world, but if you “choose” not to do anything with it. Nothing moves towards where you want.
An everyday example would be, well my blog here. First you need to know know to create a blog, then you must have a blogging platform and a hosting and lastly you must be willing to create your blog (my blog have been empty forĀ a very long time)
Lastly I like to leave you with one trick question. There are 10 birds on a tree, 3 decided to fly away. How many birds are left?
